2nd UK Win For Redoute's Choice Colt

Wednesday, 27th April 2011

On the UK track, flagship Arrowfield Stud stallion & current Australian Champion sire Redoute's Choice (Danehill-Shantha's Choice, by Canny Lad) added a promising winner when Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum's Australian-conceived, US-foaled & now British-trained 3YO colt Tazahum (Redoute's Choice-Huja, by Alzao) returned from a 6.5-months spell to score over 8 furlongs at Sandown Park for trainer Sir Michael Stoute. Tazahum (bred by Shadwell Australia) now has 2 wins & a runner-up from 3 starts & is entered for the Gr1 St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot on June 14. Jockey Richard Hills commented: "He's a big horse with a high cruising speed & I think he's got a big future."
