Gilded Time Adds US Black-Type

Former Vinery Stud shuttler Gilded Time (Timeless Moment-Gilded Lilly, by What A Pleasure) added a US black-type success when veteran 8YO gelding Mighty Rule (Gilded Time-Empress Of All, by Nasty And Bold) scored by a nose in the US$92,700 Listed Robert Molaro Handicap (6 furlongs on turf) for 4YOs & up at Hawthorne in Illinois to claim this race for the 2nd time (having also won in 2009). Mighty Rule (ridden by Junior Alvarado for trainer Roger Brueggemann) defeated 6YO gelding River Bear (Unreal Zeal-Jabber, by Minneapple) & 4YO entire Royal Express (Royal Academy-Deposit Express, by Deposit Ticket). Mighty Rule took his record to 10 wins (including both 2009's Listed Lightning Jet Handicap over 6 furlongs at Hawthorne & Listed Robert Molaro Handicap over 6 furlongs at Hawthorne, plus 2008's Listed White Oak Handicap over 6 furlongs at Arlington Park & 2007's Listed Lightning Jet Handicap over 6 furlongs at Hawthorne) & 22 placings (including January's Listed King Cotton Stakes over 6 furlongs at Oaklawn Park, plus both 2010's Listed Lightning Jet Handicap over 6 furlongs at Hawthorne & Listed White Oak Handicap over 6 furlongs at Arlington Park, as well as 2009's Listed White Oak Handicap over 6 furlongs at Arlington Park & both 2008's Listed Taylor's Special Stakes over 5 furlongs at Arlington Park & Listed Chicagoland Handicap over 6 furlongs at Hawthorne, in addition to 2007's Listed Don Ciccio Stakes over 5.5 furlongs at Hawthorne) from 37 starts for US$565,745 earnings.
