Hay List Wins Gr1 All Aged Stakes

Eliza Park's Royal Ascot Group-winning shuttler Statue Of Liberty (Storm Cat-Charming Lassie, by Seattle Slew) added a Gr1 triumph when favoured 5YO gelding Hay List (Statue Of Liberty-Sing Hallelujah, by Is It True) scored a 3.25-lengths victory in the $400,000 weight-for-age Gr1 All Aged Stakes (1400m) at Randwick. Hay List (ridden by Glyn Schofield for trainer John McNair) defeated 3YO colt Hinchinbrook (Fastnet Rock-Snippets' Lass, by Snippets) & fellow 5YO gelding Heart Of Dreams (Show A Heart-Academy Of Dreams, by Royal Academy). Hay List took his record to 14 wins (also including March's Gr2 Challenge Stakes over 1000m at Warwick Farm, plus 2010's Gr1 Manikato Stakes over 1200m at Moonee Valley, Gr2 Gilgai Stakes over 1200m at Flemington, Gr3 McEwen Stakes over 1000m at Moonee Valley & Gr3 W.J.Healy Stakes over 1200m at Eagle Farm) & 3 runners-up (in last start's Gr1 Darley T.J.Smith Stakes over 1200m at Randwick on April 9, plus February's Gr1 Lightning Stakes over 1000m at Flemington & 2010's Listed June Stakes over 1100m at Randwick) from 19 starts for $1,656,325 earnings.
