Raffles Pegasus Wins Anzac Day Stakes

Former Coolmore shuttler & Gr1 Kentucky Derby winner Fusaichi Pegasus (Mr Prospector-Angel Fever, by Danzig) added a juvenile black-type success (& 55th individual stakes-winner world-wide) when gelded son Raffles Pegasus (Fusaichi Pegasus-Fanfares, by Redoute's Choice) scored a half-length victory in the $100,000 Listed Anzac Day Stakes (1410m) for 2YOs at Flemington. Raffles Pegasus (ridden by Glen Boss for trainer Danny O'Brien) defeated fellow gelding Nordic Duke (Viking Ruler-Game Duchess, by Montjeu) & the filly Win For Layla (Flying Spur-Unabated, by Encosta De Lago). Raffles Pegasus (a $100,000 yearling consigned by Three Bridges Thoroughbreds at the 2010 Inglis Premier Sale in Melbourne) now has 1 win & 3 placings from 6 starts for $70,175 earnings.
