Shootoff Wins Frank Packer Plate

NZ Dormello Stud stallion Duelled (Redoute's Choice-Leica Pretender, by Sir Tristram) recorded his 1st stakes-winner when gelded son Shootoff (Duelled-Athenri, by Zabeel) scored by 3.5-lengths in the $125,000 Gr3 Frank Packer Plate (2000m) for 3YOs at Randwick. Shootoff (ridden by Michael Rodd for trainer Graeme Rogerson) defeated fellow geldings Happy Trails (Good Journey-Madame Flurry, by Perugino) & Muirfield (Don Eduardo-Centennial Star, by Centaine). Shootoff (a NZ$35,000 2YO at the 2009 NZB Ready To Run Sale) now has 2 wins & 2 placings (in last start's Gr2 Tulloch Stakes over 2000m at Rosehill on April 2 & 2010's Gr1 Inglis Spring Champion Stakes over 2000m at Randwick) from 14 starts for $150,000 earnings.
