UK Doncaster HIT: Average Up 23.8%

Wednesday, 27th April 2011

Overall at Doncaster, 111 lots sold for £939,200 (A$1.456m) which was up 43.1% on last year's 96 sold for £656,100 (A$1.017m). The average of £8,461 (A$13,100) was up 23.8% & the median of £4,500 (A$7,000) was up 12.5%. DBS managing director Henry Beeby commented: "The decision to link the April Horses-In-Training Sale to (last week's) ever-successful DBS Breeze-Up Sale has clearly been vindicated with a strong & vibrant trade from start to finish, most notable for an exceptional HIT clearance rate of 83% & 43% rise in turnover from similar numbers."
