In Hong Kong yesterday, NZ Waikato Stud's Australian-bred stallion Pins (Snippets-No Finer by Karou Star) added a Gr1 triumph when 4YO gelding Ambitious Dragon (Pins-Golden Gamble, by Oregon) scored a 0.75-length victory in the HK$14 million (A$1.75m) Gr1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup (2000m) at Sha Tin. Ambitious Dragon (ridden by Douglas Whyte for trainer Tony Millard) defeated 5YO geldings California Memory (Highest Honor-Kalpita, by Spinning World) & Mighty High (Peintre Celebre-Bernimixa, by Linamix).
