In Japan yesterday, 4YO entire Hiruno D'Amour (Manhattan Cafe-Share Elegance, by Lammtarra) scored a half-length victory in the ¥274.96 million (A$3.245m) Gr1 Tenno Sho-Spring (3200m) for 4YOs & up at Kyoto. Hiruno D'Amour (ridden by Shinji Fujita for trainer Mitsugu Kon) defeated fellow 4YO entire Eishin Flash (King's Best-Moonlady, by Platini) & 6YO entire Namura Crescent (Yamanin Seraphim-Sakura Komina, by Sakura Shori). Hiruno D'Amour took his record to 4 wins (also including April's Gr2 Sankei Osaka Hai over 2000m at Hanshin) & 4 placings (including February's Gr2 Kyoto Kinen over 2200m at Kyoto & January's Gr2 Kikkei Shinshun Hai over 2400m at Kyoto, plus 2010's Gr1 Satsuki Sho-2000 Guineas over 2000m at Nakayama & Gr3 Naruo Kinen over 1800m at Hanshin) from 14 starts for ¥355,363,000 (A$4.193m) earnings.
