Keepin The Dream Wins Hawkesbury Rowley Mile

NZ Cambridge Stud's Australian-bred stallion Keeper (Danehill-Nuwirah, by Pleasant Colony) added a black-type success when 6YO gelding Keepin the Dream (Keeper-Irish Nassie, by Nassipour) scored a 1-length victory in the $150,000 Listed Hawkesbury Rowley Mile (1600m) at Hawkesbury in NSW. Keepin The Dream (ridden by Peter Wells for trainers Jim & Greg Lee) defeated 5YO gelding Altered Boy (Danehill Dancer-Floridays, by Kenmare) & 4YO gelding Pureness (Tale Of The Cat-Purespeed, by Flying Spur). Keepin The Dream took his record to 7 wins (also including March's Gr3 Newmarket Handicap over 1400m at Newcastle, plus 2010's Listed Gosford Cup over 2100m & Listed Emirates Park Scone Cup over 1600m, as well as 2009's Gr3 Hawkesbury Gold Cup over 1600m & Listed Sky High Stakes over 1900m at Rosehill) & 6 placings (including 2008's Listed Wyong Gold Cup over 2100m) from 46 starts for $574,505 earnings.
