In Germany, European Horse-Of-The-Year & 7-time Gr1-winning Coolmore shuttler Rock Of Gibraltar (Danehill-Offshore Boom, by Be My Guest) added a black-type success when French-bred 5YO entire & potential Melbourne Cup contender Tres Rock Danon (Rock Of Gibraltar-Tres Ravi, by Monsun) scored by a neck in the €20,000 (A$28,000) Listed Silbernes Band Der Ruhr (2950m) for 4YOs & up at Mulheim. Tres Rock Danon (ridden by Alexander Pietsch for trainer Waldemar Hickst) defeated 4YO entires Burma Gold (Java Gold-Bougainvillea, by Acatenango) & Dawn Twister (Monsun-Dawn Side, by Bold Forbes). Tres Rock Danon was a €100,000 (A$138,000) yearling at France's 2007 Deauville August Sale. Overall he now has 5 wins (also including both 2010's German Gr3 Oleander/Betty Barclay-Rennen over 3200m at Krefeld & Listed Langer Hamburger over 3200m at Hamburg) & 2 placings (including 2009's French Listed Prix Denisy over 3100m at Saint-Cloud) from 11 starts for €106,150 (A$146,000) earnings.
