In New Zealand, Waikato Stud-based multiple Gr1-winning stallion Savabeel (Zabeel-Savannah Success, by Success Express) added a group success (& 3rd-placing) when favoured 3YO filly Scarlett Lady (Savabeel-On Call, by Ironclad) notched her 2nd successive stakes-win against older rivals with a 1.25-lengths victory in the NZ$85,000 weight-for-age Gr2 Travis Stakes (2000m) for fillies & mares at Te Rapa. Scarlett Lady (ridden by James McDonald for trainers Graeme & Debbie Rogerson) defeated 6YO mare Dancing Jess (Danske-Bandicoot, by Zabeel) & fellow 3YO filly Floria (Savabeel-Aria, by Centaine). Scarlett Lady (a NZ$25,000 yearling consigned by Waikato Stud at the 2009 NZ Bloodstock Premier Sale at Karaka) took her record to 4 wins (also including last start's Listed Manawatu Breeders Stakes over 2000m at Awapuni in April 9) & 2 runners-up from 8 starts for NZ$112,250 earnings.
