Wolfe Dreams Wins Grandstand Cup

Lyndhurst Stud sire Sequalo (Rustic Amber-Dash Around, by Bending Away) added a black-type success when favoured 4YO gelding Wolfe Dreams (Sequalo-Marchen, by Rory's Jester) scored a 1.5-lengths victory in the $80,000 Listed Grandstand Cup (1500m) at Ascot in Perth. Wolfe Dreams (ridden by Shaun McGruddy for trainer Steve Wolfe) defeated 6YO gelding Keytomoney (Key Business-Time Is Money, by Magic Of Money) & 5YO gelding Lie In Wait (Hold That Tiger-Key Satellite, by Chanteclair). Wolfe Dreams (a $10,000 weanling consigned by Eureka Stud at the 2007 Magic Millions Winter Sale on the Gold Coast & subsequently a $22,000 yearling consigned by Mogumber Park at the 2008 Magic Millions Perth Premier Sale) now has 6 wins (also including 2009's Listed Perth Stakes over 1100m at Ascot & Magic Millions Perth 2YO Classic over 1100m at Ascot) & 7 placings (including March's Listed Bunbury Stakes over 1400m at Bunbury & February's Listed Cyril Flower Stakes over 1200m at Ascot, plus 2009's Gr2 Karrakatta Plate over 1200m at Ascot & Gr3 WA Sires Produce Stakes over 1400m at Ascot) from 20 starts for $507,565 earnings.
