1st Stakes-Winner For UK Sire Norse Dancer

In the UK, dual Gr3-winning & triple Gr1-placed 11-year-old 2nd-crop stallion Norse Dancer (Halling-River Patrol, by Rousillon) recorded his 1st stakes-winner when daughter Dorcas Lane (Norse Dancer-Waqood, by Riverman) scored a 2-lengths victory in the £40,000 (A$62,000) Listed Pretty Polly Stakes (10 furlongs) for 3YO fillies at Newmarket. Dorcas Lane (ridden by Paul Hanagan for trainer Lucy Wadham) defeated Charleston Lady (Hurricane Run-Dance Lively, by Kingmambo) & Izzi Top (Pivotal-Zee Zee Top, by Zafonic). Dorcas Lane took her record to 2 wins & 2 runners-up from 4 starts for £27,509 (A$43,000) earnings. Her sire Norse Dancer won 4 of 35 starts (including the 2004 UK Gr3 Sovereign Stakes & 2005 Gr3 Earl Of Sefton Stakes) but also finished in the first-four in 10 Gr1 races (including runner-up in the 2004 UK Gr1 Juddmonte International Stakes, 2005 Gr1 King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes & Gr1 Irish Champion Stakes).
