Aust Jockey Boss On Sacred Kingdom In Gr1 KrisFlyer
In Singapore, connections confirmed Australian jockey Glen Boss (who has just begun a 3-months riding contract in Singapore) will replace usual rider & fellow Australian jockey Brett Prebble on 7-time Gr1-winning Australian-bred 7YO gelding, former World Champion Sprinter & Hong Kong Horse-Of-The-Year Sacred Kingdom (Encosta De Lago-Courtroom Sweetie, by Zeditave) in the S$1 million (A$800,000) Gr1 KrisFlyer International Sprint (1200m) at Kranji on May 22. Sacred Kingdom is set to clash with Australian-bred 5YO gelding & current Singapore superstar Rocket Man (Viscount-Macrosa, by McGinty) in the KrisFlyer: Sacred Kingdom pipped previously unbeaten (but then still immature 3YO) Rocket Man by a neck in the 2009 KrisFlyer & Rocket Man (who boasts 15 wins & 4 runners-up from 19 starts) also finished runner-up in the 2010 KrisFlyer (behind Green Birdie).
