2nd Successive Win For Full-Sister To US Champ Blame
The full-sister to multiple Gr1-winning 5YO 1st-season stallion & US 2010 Champion Older Male Blame (Arch-Liable, by Seeking The Gold) notched her 2nd successive win when 3YO filly Might (Arch-Liable) scored by 4.75-lengths over 7 furlongs on all-weather at Churchill Downs for trainer Albert Stall. Might now has 2 wins & a runner-up (by a neck on debut in February) from 3 starts. Her brother Blame (who is standing his initial breeding season for US$35,000 at the Hancock family's Claiborne Farm in Kentucky) retired after famously denying previously unbeaten multiple US Champion mare Zenyatta her 20th consecutive victory when he defeated her by a short-head in last November's epic Gr1 Breeders' Cup Classic (10 furlongs) at Churchill Downs; he had been sidelined for nearly 8 months during 2009 with a severe abscess on his hind foot & overall recorded 9 wins (also including 2010's Gr1 Whitney Handicap over 9 furlongs at Saratoga, Gr1 Stephen Foster Handicap over 9 furlongs at Churchill Downs & Gr3 William Donald Schaefer Handicap over 8.5 furlongs at Pimlico, plus 2009's Gr2 Clark Handicap over 9 furlongs at Churchill Downs, Gr2 Fayette Stakes over 9 furlongs at Keeneland & Listed Curlin Stakes over 9 furlongs at Saratoga) & 4 placings (including 2010's Gr1 Jockey Club Gold Cup Invitational Stakes over 10 furlongs at Belmont Park & 2009's Gr2 Super Derby over 9 furlongs at Louisiana Downs) from 13 starts for US$4,368,214 earnings.
