Hot Snitzel Wins Ken Russell Memorial Classic

Gr1-winning & dual Gr1-placed Arrowfield Stud stallion Snitzel (Redoute's Choice-Snippets' Lass, by Snippets) added a juvenile black-type success (& 4th individual stakes-winner) when favoured gelding Hot Snitzel (Snitzel-Flames Of Paris, by Blushing Groom) raced away for a 6.5-lengths victory in the $100,000 Listed Ken Russell Memorial Classic (1200m) for 2YOs at the Gold Coast. Hot Snitzel (ridden by Nash Rawiller for trainer Gerald Ryan) defeated fellow gelding Double Impact (Mossman-Cornish Moss, by Barathea) & the filly Lady Mary (Dane Shadow-Medicean, by Vettori). Hot Snitzel (a $60,000 yearling consigned by Bellerive Stud at 2010 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale) now has 2 wins & 2 placings (in April's Gr3 Kindergarten Stakes over 1100m at Randwick & March's Gr3 Skyline Stakes over 1200m at Warwick Farm) from 6 starts for $174,900 earnings.
