Kasumi Wins NZ Champagne Stakes

Paxton Park sire Shinko King (Fairy King-Rose Of Jericho, by Alleged) added a NZ juvenile black-type success (& 13th individual stakes-winner) when favoured filly Kasumi (Shinko King-Mistaurian, by Straight Strike) scored by a half-head against the males in the NZ$45,000 Listed Champagne Stakes (1200m) for 2YOs at Riccarton Park. Kasumi (ridden by Darryl Bradley for trainer John Sargent) defeated the geldings Duckworth Lewis (Postponed-Ms Magenta, by Groom Dancer) & Show The Cash (Al Samer-Pronto Cash, by Broad Brush). Kasumi now has 1 win & 1 runner-up from 2 starts for NZ$27,225 earnings.
