Former Australian Racehorse-Of-The-Year & 11-time Gr1-winning World Champion Miler Lonhro (Octagonal-Shadea, by Straight Strike) added black-type success (& 23rd individual stakes-winner) when 5YO mare Tampiko (Lonhro-Ancient Song, by Canny Lad) prevailed in a 3-way photo-finish to the $175,000 Listed Prime Minister's Cup (1200m) at the Gold Coast. Tampiko (ridden by Chris Munce for trainer Peter Moody) scored by a nose from 8YO gelding Eire Of Magic (Eire-Via Magic, by Marauding) with a further neck to 4YO gelding Fifteen Carat (Show A Heart-Brynica, by Snippets). Tampiko (a $500,000 yearling consigned by Turangga Farm at the 2007 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney) now has 8 wins & 4 placings from 23 starts for $254,128 earnings.
