Vivid Vixen Wins ACG Security Stakes

NZ Stoney Bridge Stud's Gr1-winning Shadwell shuttle sire Ekraar (Red Ransom-Sacahuista, by Raja Baba) added a black-type success (& 5th individual stakes-winner world-wide) when favoured 5YO mare Vivid Vixen (Ekraar-Pompeia, by Gaius) scored a 1-length victory in yesterday's $100,000 Listed ACG Security Stakes (2004m) for fillies & mares at Morphettville. Vivid Vixen (ridden by Craig Newitt for trainer Mick Price) defeated 4YO mares Platinum Passion (Redoute's Choice-Stella Artois, by Star Way) & Public Holiday (Choisir-Thanksgiving, by Generous). Vivid Vixen (a NZ$50,000 yearling consigned by Ardsley Stud at the 2007 NZB Select Sale at Karaka) took her record to 8 wins & 6 placings (including March's Listed Epona Stakes over 1900m at Rosehill & February's Listed Sportingbet Kilmore Cup over 1600m) from 18 starts for $389,755 earnings.
