Tuesday, 10th May 2011

In the US overnight, the half-sister to 2007 US champion older male Lawyer Ron (Langfuhr-Donation, by Lord Avie) notched her 1st win (at her 2nd start) when 3YO filly Too Shy Shy (Distorted Humor-Donation) led all-the-way to score by 12.5-lengths over 6 furlongs at Delaware Park for trainer McLean Robertson. Too Shy Shy was a US$100,000 yearling at the 2009 Keeneland September Sale. Her star half-brother Lawyer Ron recorded 12 wins (9 stakes victories, including the Gr1 Whitney Handicap over 9 furlongs at Saratoga where he set a new track record & the Gr1 Woodward Stakes over 9 furlongs where he romped home by over 8-lengths) & 8 placings (4 in stakes races) from 26 starts for US$2,790,008 earnings. He began his stallion career at Stonewall Farm in Kentucky in 2008, but was tragically euthanased in July 2009 following complications from colic surgery.
