Thursday, 12th May 2011

In Ireland overnight, dual Gr1-winning shuttler Holy Roman Emperor (Danehill-L'On Vite, by Secretariat) added a group success when 3YO filly Banimpire (Holy Roman Emperor-My Renee, by Kris S) notched her 3rd successive stakes-win with a 0.75-lengths victory against older rivals in the €77,500 (A$108,000) Gr3 Blue Wind Stakes (10 furlongs) for fillies & mares at Naas. Banimpire (ridden by Kevin Manning for trainer Jim Bolger) defeated fellow 3YO filly Spin (Galileo-Pieds De Plume, by Seattle Slew) & 6YO mare Mid Mon Lady (Danetime-Shining Desert, by Green Desert). Banimpire now has 4 wins (also including the Listed Victor McCalmont Memorial Stakes over 9.5 furlongs at Gowran Park on May 1 & April's Gr3 Ballysax Stakes over 10 furlongs at Leopardstown) & 2 placings (including March's Gr3 Park Express Stakes over 8 furlongs at The Curragh) from 8 starts.
