Monday, 16th May 2011

Multiple Gr1-winning shuttler & former star Australian sprinter Choisir (Danehill Dancer-Great Selection, by Lunchtime) added a UK black-type success (& 31st individual stakes-winner world-wide) when his colt Codemaster (Choisir-Verbal Intrigue, by Dahar) scored a 2-lengths victory in the £30,000 (A$47,000) Listed King Charles II Stakes (7 furlongs) for 3YOs at Newmarket. Codemaster (ridden by Dane O'Neill for trainer Henry Candy) defeated favoured filly I Love Me (Cape Cross-Garanciere, by Anabaa) & fellow filly Masaya (Dansili-Anbella, by Common Grounds). Codemaster took his record to 2 wins & 2 runners-up from 4 starts for £72,001 (A$112,000) earnings.
