In the US, former Grand Lodge Thoroughbreds shuttler Distorted Humor (Forty Niner-Danzig's Beauty, by Danzig) added a US graded-stakes success when his colt Alternation (Distorted Humor-Alternate, by Seattle Slew) scored by a head in the US$200,000 Gr2 Peter Pan Stakes (9 furlongs) for 3YOs at Belmont Park in New York. Alternation (ridden by Ramon Dominguez for trainer Don Von Hemel) defeated fellow colts Adios Charlie (Indian Charlie-Teak Totem, by Northern Afleet) & Prime Cut (Bernstein-Life Happened, by Stravinsky). Alternation took his record to 4 wins & a placing from 6 stars for US$215,004 earnings.
