Sincero Wins Inglis Scone Guineas

Monday, 16th May 2011

Blue Gum Farm's Gr1-winning stallion Umatilla (Miswaki-Dancing Show, by Nijinsky) added a feature success when boom gelding Sincero (Umatilla-Yours As Always, by Prego) scored a 1.25-lengths victory in the $250,000 Inglis Guineas (1600m) for 3YOs at Scone. Favourite Sincero (ridden by Chris O'Brien for trainer Stephen Farley) notched his 6th successive win in defeating fellow gelding Speediness (Testa Rossa-Fine Glass, by Flying Spur) & the filly Tigress Lily (Snitzel-Empress Lily, by Zabeel). Sincero (an $8,000 yearling consigned by Nerreman Stud at the 2009 Inglis Classic Sale in Sydney) now has 8 wins (also including April's Listed Gosford Guineas over 1200m) & 1 placing from 11 starts for $450,750 earnings.
