In Brazil, Stud Alvarenga's boom home-bred 3YO colt Desejado Thunder (Durban Thunder-Glorious Magee, by Spend A Buck) continued his sensational sequence of wins with a 1.25-lengths victory against older rivals in the Gr1 Grande Premio Associacao Brasileira De Vriadores E Proprietarios Do Cavalo De Corrida (1000m on turf) at Cidade Jardim in Sao Paulo. Desejado Thunder (ridden by Dalto Duarte for trainer Julio Cesar Sampaio) defeated 3YO filly Quasi Moda (Christine's Outlaw-Classic Halo, by Southern Halo) & fellow 3YO colt Union Lake (American Gipsy-Extra News, by Forty Niner). Desejado Thunder took his record to 11 wins (also including April's Gr1 Grande Premio Associacao Brasileira De Vriadores E Proprietarios Do Cavalo De Corrida over 1000m at Hipodromo La Gavea, March's Listed Clasico Jockey Club De Sao Paulo over 1000m at Gavea & February's Listed Clasico Sao Francisco Xavier over 1000m at Gavea, plus 2010's Gr1 Grande Premio Major Suckow over 1000m at Gavea, Gr2 Grande Premio Cordeiro Da Graca over 1000m at Gavea, Gr3 Grande Premio Adhemar De Faria E Roberto Gabizo De Faria over 1000m at Gavea, Listed Clasico Jose Calman over 1300m at Gavea & Listed Clasico Hernani Azevedo Silva over 1200m at Gavea) & a runner-up (in 2010's Gr2 Grande Premio Proclamacao Da Republica over 1000m at Cidade Jardim) from 13 starts.
