US Sire Grand Reward Sold To Argentina
US Gr2-winning 10-year-old 3rd-crop stallion Grand Reward (Storm Cat-Serena's Song, by Rahy) "has been purchased by Hernan Ceriani's Haras La Quebrada to stand permanently in Argentina," reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Grand Reward (who stood at Hill n Dale Farms in Kentucky in 2009 for US$10,000 & 2010 for US$7,500 before moving to Ghost Ridge Farms in Pennsylvania for 2011 at a fee of US$4,000) has shuttled to Haras La Quebrada for the last 5 years. His start offspring include Argentine Gr1-winner Angiolo & Gr3-winner Grand Rapport. On the track himself, Grand Reward (a full-brother to Gr1-winner Sophisticat & Gr3-winner Schramsberg, plus a half-brother Gr2-winner Harlington & multiple stakes-winner Serena's Tune) notched 4 wins & 7 placings from 24 starts for US$545,844 earnings.
