Wednesday, 18th May 2011

In Italy overnight, Juddmonte Farms-owned & UK Banstead Manor Stud-based Gr2-winning & Gr1-placed 10-year-old freshman stallion Three Valleys (Diesis-Skiable, by Niniski) recorded his 1st winner when 2YO colt Peccato Di Gola (Three Valleys-Pursuit Of Charge, by Pursuit Of Love) scored on debut over 1200m at San Siro for trainer Bruno Grizzetti. Peccato Di Gola (a half-brother to stakes-winner Piperita) was a €68,000 (A$95,000) yearling at last year's SGA Yearling Sale. His sire Three Valleys set a 2YO track record in winning the 2003 UK Gr3 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot & also won both the 2005 US Gr2 Del Mar Breeders' Cup Handicap (setting a track record for 8 furlongs on turf) & 2006 US Gr3 Oceanport Stakes at Monmouth Park (breaking another track record). Three Valleys stands at Banstead Manor Stud in Newmarket in the England for £5,000 (A$7,800).
