Black Caviar Brother Moshe Moved To Moody Stable

Wednesday, 18th May 2011

The owners of Black Caviar's younger full-brother Moshe (Bel Esprit-Helsinge, by Desert Sun) “have taken the horse from the John Hawkes stable to join the flying mare at Peter Moody's yard” reported The Age. Syndicate manager & former champion jockey Roy Higgins confirmed Moshe (a $75,000 yearling consigned by Swettenham Stud at the 2009 Inglis Premier Sale in Melbourne) “would join Moody after another month in the spelling paddock”. Higgins said that after Moshe failed at Caulfield 2 weeks ago the syndicate “asked for a change in trainer” & requested Higgins “approach Moody after his handling of the unbeaten Black Caviar”. Higgins added: “I also spoke to John (Hawkes) & he told me that he had good horses come into his stable & some leave & said it was the owners' decision & wished the group luck.”
