Wednesday, 18th May 2011

In Europe overnight, former Yarraman Park shuttler Desert Style (Green Desert-Organza, by High Top) added a French black-type success when The Aga Khan’s Irish-bred colt Ziyarid (Desert Style-Zayanida, by King's Best) scored a half-length virtory in the €55,000 (A$76,000) Listed Prix Georges Trabaud (2000m) for 3YOs at Marseille-Borely. Ziyarid (ridden by Michael Poirier for trainer Alain De Royer-Dupre) defeated UK-bred colt Concordat (Selkirk-African Peace, by Roberto) & fellow Irish-bred colt Carnevalo (Slickly-Tounsi, by Sendawar).
