Former Grand Lodge Thoroughbreds shuttler (& runner-up on the US general sires list in 2005, 2009 & 2010) Distorted Humor (Forty Niner-Danzig's Beauty, by Danzig) recorded his 100th stakes-winner early this morning (Australian time) when WinStar Farm-owned daughter Savvy Supreme (Distorted Humor-Outsource, by Storm Bird) scored a half-length victory in the US$58,800 Listed Classy Mirage Stakes (6 furlongs) for 3YO fillies at Belmont Park in New York. Front-running favourite Savvy Supreme (ridden by John Velazquez for trainer Todd Pletcher) defeated Soundwave (Friends Lake-Echo Echo Echo, by Eastern Echo) & Indian Lilly (Indian Charlie-Laredo Lil, by Pembroke). Savvy Supreme (a US$520,000 weanling at the 2008 Keeneland November Sale) took her record to 2 wins & a runner-up from 3 starts for US$69,525 earnings. She is also a full-sister to US multiple Gr1-winner Commentator. Her sire Distorted Humor stands at Kenny Troutt’s WinStar Farm in Kentucky for US$100,000 & the stud’s director of bloodstock Robert Hammond told bloodhorse.com: “Distorted Humor has been at WinStar since its inception & has been a great stallion for us, as well as for the shareholders & the breeders. His consistency year-in & year-out has been tremendous.”
