Inglis Weanlings Final Average Down 4.5%

Thursday, 19th May 2011

Overall during the weanling sessions at the Inglis Great Southern Sale, 292 lots sold (80%) for $2,989,609 at an average $10,238 (down 4.5% from last year’s $10,717) & a median $4,000. Inglis director Peter Heagney commented: “We were particularly pleased with the prices achieved by the better quality lots, which attracted serious competition across both days. But in keeping with yearling sales across Australia this year, the lower end of the market was much softer. Overall though we are very happy with the result & pleased to see the clearance rate hit 80%.”
