Monday, 23rd May 2011

In Canada, multiple stakes-winning 8YO stallion Vibank (Silver Deputy-Princess Ruckus, by Bold Ruckus) recorded his 1st winner when 2YO filly Euphrasia (Vibank-Helen's Fury, by Stormy Atlantic) scored over 4.5 furlongs on all-weather at Woodbine in Toronto. Euphrasia was a C$27,000 yearling at the 2010 Ontario September Sale. Her sire Vibank (who Vibank stands at Park Stud in Ontario) was a US$280,000 yearling at the 2004 Keeneland September Sale; he won both Canada's Victoria Stakes & Clarendon Stakes at Woodbine in his juvenile season in 2005 (when he was a Sovereign Award finalist) & subsequently retired with 4 wins & 2 placings from 11 starts. His stakes-winning dam Princess Ruckus is a half sister to the multiple Gr1-winning Canadian champion sprinter & former Vinery Stud shuttler Langfuhr (Danzig-Sweet Briar Too, by Briartic).
