Giant's Causeway Adds US Black-Type

Former shuttler Giant's Causeway (Storm Cat-Mariah's Storm, by Rahy) added a US black-type success when daughter Excited (Giant's Causeway-Path Of Thunder, by Thunder Gulch) scored a 3.75-lengths victory in the US$50,000 Listed Hilltop Stakes (8.5 furlongs on turf) for 3YO fillies at Pimlico. Excited (ridden by John Velazquez for trainer Todd Pletcher) defeated Pink Pallet (Include-Art Student, by El Prado) & Blushandbashful (Even The Score-Casual Success, by Tricky Creek). Excited took her record to 2 wins & 4 placings (including both March's Gr3 Herecomesthebride Stakes over 9 furlongs at Gulfstream Park & January's Listed Sweetest Chant Stakes over 8 furlongs at Arlington Park, plus 2010's Listed Good Mood Stakes over 8.5 furlongs at Belmont Park) from 8 starts for US$130,700 earnings.
