Goldikova Wins 13th Gr1 In French Prix D'Ispahan

In France overnight, deceased former Widden Stud shuttler Anabaa (Danzig-Balbonella, by Gay Mecene) added a Gr1 triumph when the Werthheimer family's star Irish-bred 6YO mare Goldikova (Anabaa-Born Gold, by Blushing Groom) returned from a 6-months spell to notch her 13th Gr1 triumph (plus 4 Gr1-placings) with victory by a neck against the males in the €250,000 (A$348,000) Gr1 Prix D'Ispahan (1850m) for 4YOs & up at Longchamp in Paris to claim this race for the 2nd successive year. Goldikova (ridden by Olivier Peslier for trainer Freddie Head) defeated 5YO gelding Cirrus Des Aigles (Even Top-Taille De Guepe, by Septieme Ciel) & 4YO entire Rajsaman (Linamix-Rose Quartz, by Lammtarra).
