Wednesday, 25th May 2011

Oklahoma City-based Bill & Terry Mathis paid US$280,000 for a filly from the 1st-crop of US 2006 Champion 2YO Colt & 2007 Gr1 Kentucky Derby-winning shuttler Street Sense (out of winning Polish Numbers mare Polish Nana) consigned by Eisaman Equine as agent. The filly (whose dam Polish Nana is a half-sister to Gr2-winning sire Love Of Money) will be trained by John Shirreffs & bloodstock adviser David Ingordo told thoroughbredtimes.com: “No filly I saw on the grounds looked this good. Everyone was on this horse & we had John come out to take a look & he liked her.” She clocked equal-fastest 10.2sec for 1 furlong at the pre-sale breeze-up session.
