Dubawi Adds Italian Gr2

In Italy overnight, triple Gr1-winning shuttler Dubawi (Dubai Millennium-Zomaradah, by Deploy) added a group success when Irish-bred 4YO entire Worthadd (Dubawi-Wigman, by Rahy) won the €154,000 (A$214,000) Gr2 Premio Carlo Vittadini (1600m) at San Siro in Milan. Worthadd (ridden by Mirco Demuro for trainer Vittorio Caruso) defeated German-bered 4YO mare Vanjura (Areion-Venia Legendi, by Zinaad) & Irish-bred 6YO entire Rockhorse (Rock Of Gibraltar-Maelalong, by Maelstrom Lake). Worthadd took his record to 8 wins (also including 2010’s Gr2 Premio Ribot over 1600m at The Capannelle, Gr2 Derby Italiano over 2200m at The Capannelle, Gr3 Premio Parioli over 1600m at The Capannelle & Listed Premio Gardone over 1600m at San Siro) & 3 placings (including last start’s UK Gr1 Lockinge Stakes over 8 furlongs at Newbury on May 14, plus 2010’s Gr1 Premio Vittorio Di Capua over 1600m at San Siro) from 11 starts.
