Monday, 30th May 2011

In France, dual-Derby winning stallion & former NZ Windsor Park shuttler Montjeu (Sadler's Wells-Floripedes, by Top Ville) added a black-type success when UK-bred colt Gaily Game (Montjeu-Gaily Tiara, by Caerleon) scored a 1.5-lengths victory in the €55,000 (A$76,000) Listed Derby Du Midi (2400m) for 3YOs at Bordeaux. Gaily Game (ridden by Christophe Soumillon for trainer Jean-Claude Rouget) defeated Irish-bred colt Dildar (Red Ransom-Diamond Tango, by Acatenango) & fellow colt Shadow Skills (High Yield-Snow Lady, by Vision). Gaily Game was a €150,000 (A$209,000) yearling at the 2009 Arqana August Sale. Overall he now has 2 wins & a placing from 3 starts for €46,300 (A$64,000) earnings.
