In Germany overnight, European Horse-Of-The-Year & 7-time Gr1-winning Coolmore shuttler Rock Of Gibraltar (Danehill-Offshore Boom, by Be My Guest) added a group success when French-bred 5YO entire & potential Melbourne Cup contender Tres Rock Danon (Rock Of Gibraltar-Tres Ravi, by Monsun) notched his 2nd successive stakes win with victory by a neck in the €55,000 (A$76,000) Gr3 Oleander-Betty Barclay Rennen (3200m) for 4YOs & up at Baden-Baden to claim this race for the 2nd successive year. Tres Rock Danon (ridden by Andreas Suborics for trainer Waldemar Hickst) defeated 7YO gelding Earlsalsa (Kingsalsa-Earthly Paradise, by Dashing Blade) & 6YO entire Flamingo Fantasy (Fantastic Light-Flamingo Road, by Acatenango). Tres Rock Danon was a €100,000 (A$139,000) yearling at France's 2007 Deauville August Sale. Overall he now has 6 wins (also including April’s Listed Silbernes Band Der Ruhr over 2950m at Mulheim, plus both 2010's Gr3 Oleander/Betty Barclay-Rennen over 3200m at Krefeld & Listed Langer Hamburger over 3200m at Hamburg) & 2 placings (including 2009's French Listed Prix Denisy over 3100m at Saint-Cloud) from 12 starts.
