Sepoy Wins Danehill Stakes

Former shuttler Elusive Quality (Gone West-Touch Of Greatness, by Hero's Honor) added a group success (& 3rd-placing) when Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum's home-bred colt & last season’s Australian Champion 2YO Sepoy (Elusive Quality-Watchful, by Danehill) scored a 1-length victory in the $250,000 Gr2 Danehill Stakes (1200m) for 3YOs at Flemington. Top-weighted favourite Sepoy (ridden by Kerrin McEvoy for trainer Peter Snowden) defeated the filly Hallowell Belle (Starcraft-Bella Inez, by Beautiful Crown) & the gelding Unique Quality (Elusive Quality-Reggae, by Danehill).
