Thursday, 8th September 2011
Valuable 2YO filly Punita (Distorted Humor-Indy Five Hundred, by A.P.Indy) scored on debut with victory over 7 furlongs on all-weather at Lingfield Park in the UK for Godolphin trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni. Sheikh Mohammed’s chief bloodstock advisor John Ferguson paid US$3 million for Punita’s Gr1-winning dam Indy Five Hundred (A.P. Indy-Lyphard's Delta, by Lyphard) at the 2007 Fasig-Tipton November Mixed Sale.
