Keeneland Yearlings Day-1: US$575k Tapit Filly
Agent Steve Young (acting for Mill House Farm) paid US$575,000 for a filly by Tapit (out of winning Dehere mare Shop Here) consigned by Gainesway as agent. The filly’s dam Shop Here (who boasts 4 winners from as many starters, including stakes-winner Fifth Avenue) is a half-sister to Gr2-winner Trappe Shot & Young told thoroughbredtimes.com: “We’ve been very lucky with Tapits, as a lot of people have. She looks a lot like Trappe Shot & she’s got a lot of class about her. We thought she was a stick out in many ways.” Young added the filly will be sent to Florida to be broken & noted: “She’s going to be a racehorse. She’s not going to go back through the ring.”
