Keeneland Yearlings Day-1: US$875k Bernardini Colt
Coolmore representative Demi O’Byrne paid US$875,000 for colt by triple Gr1-winning shuttler & US Eclipse Award-winning stallion Bernardini (out of Distinctive Pro mare Brandy Rose) consigned by Bluewater Sales as agent. The colt (from the family of Horse-Of-The-Year Holy Bull) is a half-brother to Gr1-winner Sweet Symphony & stakes-winners Patriotic Flame & Infinite Glory. O’Byrne declared: “He’s a good mover, a lot of quality; a nice horse. And I’ve always loved Holy Bull.” And Bluewater’s Meg Levy told bloodhorse.com: “He’s an absolute proper horse. He’s good-sized & he’s got a big, slow walk that covers the ground. He’s got a beautiful, long neck & a great temperament. He has all the presence in the world. He looks like Muhammad Ali walking to the ring.”
