Keeneland Yearlings Day-1: US$925k Street Cry Colt

Tuesday, 13th September 2011

Ben Leon's Besilu Stables paid US$925,000 for another colt by Gr1 Dubai World Cup-winning shuttler Street Cry (out of champion Kris S mare Hollywood Wildcat) consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency for breeder Irving Cowan. The colt is a half-brother to Gr1 Breeders’ Cup Mile winning sire War Chant & UK Gr2 winner Ivan Denisovich. Leon commented: “It’s a Street Cry son & has a heck of a family on the dam side. We are trying to round up the very best quality – not quantity but quality. We believe the horses we are buying are quality & they look like good racehorses.”
