Chase The Rainbow Wins Bill Stutt Stakes

Tuesday, 4th October 2011

Dual Gr1-winning Swettenham Stud stallion Dash For Cash (Secret Savings-Gulistan, by Rubiton) added a group success (& 5th individual stakes-winner) when favoured colt Chase The Rainbow (Dash For Cash-Illusional, by Redoute's Choice) came from the rear of the field to score a 1.25-lengths victory in the $200,000 Gr2 Bill Stutt Stakes (1600m) for 3YOs at Moonee Valley. Chase The Rainbow (ridden by Dean Yendall for trainer Rick Hore-Lacy) defeated the filly Cute Emily (Choisir-Prefer An Angel, by Mi Preferido) & fellow colt Sabrage (Charge Forward-Galroof, by Maroof). Chase The Rainbow (a $90,000 yearling consigned by Swettenham Stud at the 2010 Inglis Premier Sale in Melbourne) now has 3 wins & a runner-up (in last start’s Listed Henry Bucks Stakes over 1400m at Flemington on September 3) from 5 starts for $257,688 earnings.
