Tuesday, 4th October 2011

Gr2-winning stallion Domesday (Red Ransom-In The Past, by Zafonic) added a Gr1 triumph (& 5th individual stakes-winner) when front-running gelded son Doctor Doom (Domesday-Orcym, by Orpen) scored by a half-neck in the $400,000 Gr1 Inglis Spring Champion Stakes (2000m) for 3YOs at Randwick. Doctor Doom (ridden by Rod Quinn for trainer Guy Walter) defeated the colt Darci Be Good (Darci Brahma-You Can't Say That, by Fusaichi Pegasus) & fellow gelding Sangster (Savabeel-Quinta Special, by Spectrum). Doctor Doom now has 3 wins & 2 placings (including September’s Gr3 Gloaming Stakes over 1800m at Rosehill) from 7 starts for $332,290 earnings.
