Dubawi Heights Wins US Gr1 Yellow Ribbon Stakes

Triple Gr1-winning former shuttler Dubawi (Dubai Millennium-Zomaradah, by Deploy) added a US Gr1 triumph when UK-bred 4YO mare Dubawi Heights (Dubawi-Rosie's Posy, by Suave Dancer) scored a 0.75-length victory in the US$250,000 Gr1 Yellow Ribbon Stakes (10 furlongs on turf) for fillies & mares at Santa Anita. Favourite Dubawi Heights (ridden by Joel Rosario for trainer Simon Callaghan) defeated fellow 4YO mares Cozi Rosie (Pleasantly Perfect-Felidia, by Golden Fleece) & Harmonious (Dynaformer-Jade Tree, by Storm Cat). Dubawi Heights was a 62,000 guineas (A$102,000) weanling at the 2007 UK Tattersalls December Sale, then a 72,000 guineas (A$119,000) yearling at the 2008 Tattersalls October Sale & finally a 75,000 guineas (A$124,000) 2YO at the 2009 Tattersalls December Sale. Overall she now has 5 wins (also including May’s Gr1 Gamely Stakes over 9 furlongs at Hollywood Park & April’s Gr3 Wilshire Handicap over 8 furlongs at Hollywood Park) & 5 placings (including August’s Gr1 Beverly D Stakes over 9.5 furlongs at Arlington Park, plus 2009's UK Gr2 Lowther Stakes over 6 furlongs at York) from 14 starts for US$947,382 earnings.
