Tuesday, 4th October 2011

Former Australian Champion 2nd-Season Sire & multiple Gr1-winning Australian-bred stallion Fastnet Rock (Danehill-Piccadilly Circus, by Royal Academy) added a group success when favoured colt Foxwedge (Fastnet Rock-Forest Native, by Forest Wildcat) scored by a short-neck in the $175,000 Gr2 Roman Consul Stakes (1200m) for 3YOs at Randwick. Foxwedge (ridden by Nash Rawiller for trainer John O’Shea) defeated fellow colts Masthead (Written Tycoon-Balsamico, by Redoute's Choice) & Do You Think (Starcraft-Chickens, by Danehill).
