French Arc Sale: $2.329m Glorious Sight

Tuesday, 4th October 2011

In the French auction ring, Michel Zerolo from Oceanic Bloodstock (acting for Andreas Putsch, who owns Haras de Saint Pair in Normandy) paid €1.7 million (A$2.329 million) for this year’s French stakes-winning & dual Classic-placed 3YO filly Glorious Sight (Singspiel-Zelding, by Warning) at the 1-day Arqana Arc Sale at Saint-Cloud. Glorious Sight was consigned from trainer Robert Collet’s stable & Zerolo commented: “She was obviously the horse of the sale & such a pedigree comes around at public auction once in every 10 or so years, so we didn't want to miss out. She is such a good filly, as well, and ultimately Mr Putsch will breed from her - that is the ultimate goal.”
