Giant Ryan Wins US Gr1 Vosburgh Invitational

Front-running 5YO entire Giant Ryan (Freud-Kheyrah, by Dayjur) notched his 6th successive win with a half-length victory in the US$350,000 Gr1 Vosburgh Invitational Stakes (6 furlongs) at Belmont Park. Giant Ryan (ridden by Cornelio Velasquez for trainer Bisnath Parboo) defeated 6YO gelding Force Freeze (Forest Camp-Antifreeze, by It's Freezing) & 6YO entire Caixa Eletronica (Arromanches-Edyta, by Skip Away). Giant Ryan (a US$14,000 weanling at the 2006 Ocala Breeders October Sale & later a US$27,000 2YO at the 2008 Ocala Breeders June Sale) now has 8 wins (also including July’s Gr2 Smile Sprint Handicap over 6 furlongs at Calder, Listed Ponche Handicap over 6 furlongs at Calder & Listed Hamlet Stakes over 6 furlongs at Aqueduct) & 2 placings from 14 starts for US$626,841 earnings.
