Golden Snake Adds Italy Black-Type

In Italy, Bombora Downs-based 4-time Gr1-winning stallion Golden Snake (Danzig-Dubian, by High Line) added a black-type success when UK-bred 5YO mare Quiza Quiza Quiza (Golden Snake-Quiz Chow, by Pelder) scored a 1.5-lengths victory in the €50,400 (A$69,000) Listed Premio Archidamia (2000m) for fillies & mares at the Capannelle in Rome. Quiza Quiza Quiza (ridden by Mirco Demuro for trainer Luigi Riccardi) defeated Irish-bred 3YO fillies Pocket A Pound (Azamour-Rinass, by Indian Ridge) & Senza Rete (Barathea-Lyrical Dance, by Lear Fan). Quiza Quiza Quiza took her record to 9 wins (also including 2010’s Listed Premio Buontalenta over 2000m at the Capannelle) & 7 placings (including May’s Gr1 Presidente Della Republicca over 2000m at the Capannelle & January’s Listed Premio Coppa D’Oro Di Siracusa over 2300m at Siracusa, plus both 2010’s & 2009’s Listed Premio Andred over 2200m at Pisa, as well as 2009’s Gr2 Oaks D’Italia over 2200m at San Siro & Listed Premio Giuseppe Valiani over 2000m in Rome) from 20 starts for €230,555 (A$316,000) earnings.
